‘Uneducated’ vs. ‘Educated’ Fanatics !!

02 Dec

We suffer not because there are poor and ignorant,

‘ignorant’ have nothing to  delete, declare or…rant !!

They are easy to handle, harmless…really blissful,

learned ones are the threat have their memory full !!

fanatics

gentleman

terrorist

“My religion and… only…. my religion… can save the world”  !!

I don’t know whether you have observed it or not but I certainly have very strongly felt that generally people ( barring a very few noble exceptions ) are very possessive about and rarely miss any opportunity to “sell”, their religion (s). And still more surprising, the handful of people that there are who are not very possessive and sensitive about their religions are often branded as atheists.

Then I am afraid, we have to divide people in only two groups :

Uneducated and ignorant fanatics

and

Educated and learned fanatics.

The uneducated are unaware so can not be blamed.

But what about the educated ones ?

What do you say ?

Waiting for your feedback, perspectives, opinions, views……

Yours truly,
‘religiously’ religion-less and ‘religion-less-ly’ religious !!

    Aaaah..!!! Religion..
a very touchy subject.. and can be so controversial ..
But you are right when In your observations… and you put it in a very argumentative manner..
Because everyone has a different way of seeing and understanding and interpreting religion….

True the educated are the ones who spread the hatred issues etc etc the most.. I frequently have argument in our WhatsApp group people just forward stupid messages without giving a thought…

Religion ..every religion should be banned .. the only one that should be there is one of humanity .. strangely every religion talks about humanity and love etc etc but none follow…

I will not say, that the uneducated are innocent here. We do all have responsibility both to ourselves and the rest of the world. We are born with a brain, then it is up to us, how to use it.
Of course it is more easy to spread religion and hate among not educated people, because they have not been learning in same way as the educated people. In same time education can be dangerous, if only the few in same area become educated. Then they can easy take over all power in the area by talking and telling lies to the uneducated people.

I’m not so sure that it’s uneducated versus educated, but rather we fall into a path of destruction when we blindly follow anything. Religion just happens to be the most common one that some people seem to blindly follow.

Thought provoking i would say! However, if you go to details, the groups are not just two. The name space of education, ignorance, religion, fanatics…. are wide. Hence typecasting could be in vain IMO.
I would take like, rather than people, we focus on the stand point and then be reaponsive in a responsible way. I agree with you on high level we have issue on how you apply your knowledge for vested interests. In that way, lets make an awareness on the exploitation if any. However, the subject is very sensitive. Even if you say from a positive frame of mind, it could be interpreted otherwise!!
Yeah, there is always a mass who will look at the tip of your finger when you show the moon…..!!! Any way out? Thanks for a triggering the brain cells:)

In my opinion, we really have no right to call anyone ignorant and uneducated. Each person acts on the basis of his collective understanding of beliefs and values systems and designed for a better future. Some people may not have gone to schools and colleges attended by others, but so what? They have a belief and value system which needs to be respected.

I am sure Pakistan, ISI, ISIS, Bin Laden, Bagdadi….they all “have a belief and value system which needs to be respected”.

But I somehow find it impossible to do !!

That is a different argument. The original argument is about uneducated and ignorant vs educated and learned.

Maybe educated fanatics feel like they aren’t respected as much as they think they should be (in their self-absorbed way).

Yes may be. Or it could be a simple “arithmetic mix-up”. I have written about it in detail in one of my previous posts :
“Arithmetic Mix-up of ‘poor and helpless’ fanatics”.

Intriguing post! Education or lack of doesn’t hold much importance to me, but strength of character does.

This holds true in regards to a person’s religion or lack of; it doesn’t matter to me what God one worships or doesn’t worship — just as long as there’s tolerance and goodwill, we can all get along.

I’d say the educated and learned, though they know what to do, are too tired to do it. While the uneducated and unlearned has the energy to do, they don’t have the wisdom. An exceptional individual, with one foot in both worlds, however…

Good post. The two categories you mention are an interesting phenomenom. I see it like this: the first group are used by the second. The second, the educated ones, gain from the situation, and often they probably aren’t even that religious, they just use it as a tool. These are the most dangerous ones, but still they would be a lot less dangerous if it was not for ignorance. I think the easiest and most effective way to fight fanatism is to fight ignorance. To fight ‘being-a-bad-person’ is a lot more difficult. Bad people will always exist, we need to take their power away. Thanks!
